EU-OSHA aims to be „the central provider of that information and ensure that it is relevant to every user, regardless of size of enterprise or sector of activity“. Set up in 1996 by the European Union and located in Bilbao, Spain, EU-OSHA is the main EU reference point for safety and health at work.


World Federation of People Management Associations (WFPMA)

The WFPMA is a global network of professionals in people management. It was founded in 1976 to aid the development and improve the effectiveness of professional people management all over the world. Its members are predominantly the continental federations which are made up of more than 70 national personnel associations representing over 400,000 people management professionals.


The Confederation of European Business (BUSINESSEUROPE)

According to its mission statement „the basic motivation for collective action by BUSINESSEUROPE has remained unchanged for over fifty years“. The original aims included „uniting the central industrial federations to foster solidarity between them; encouraging a Europe-wide competitive industrial policy; and acting as a spokesperson body to the European institutions. BUSINESSEUROPE strived for permanent liaison with official institutions, studied current problems, and co-ordinated responses, and always at a general „horizontal“ level.


XpertHR (UK)

XpertHR is an online service where „the HR professional can get an understanding of legal requirements, obtain insights into how their sector is doing and appreciate how other organisations are approaching similar tasks“.

By bringing together the expertise of  IRS, LexisNexis Butterworths and Personnel Today, and then adding specially commissioned expert guidance, Reed Business Information created a unique resource: XpertHR.


European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions (Eurofound)

Eurofound, the European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions, is a European Union body, one of the first to be established to work in specialised areas of EU policy. Specifically, it was set up by the European Council (Council Regulation (EEC) No. 1365/75 of 26 May 1975), to contribute to the planning and design of better living and working conditions in Europe.

Eurofound wants to „provide information, advice and expertise – on living and working conditions, industrial relations and managing change in Europe – for key actors in the field of EU social policy on the basis of comparative information, research and analysis“. Major themes are: Employment and working conditions, work–life balance, industrial relations and partnership.


The Federation of European Employers (FedEE)

FedEE, the leading organisation for international employers operating in Europe, originated from a project funded by the European Commission in 1989. Since that time, we have made a significant contribution to EU developments in the fields of equal opportunities, positive action, family-friendly employment policies, European works councils, pay determination, legal education for HR professionals, the treatment of temporary workers and the future EU constitution.
